IR/CPL/ATPL/MEP Ground School Schedule
+ A-UPRT theory and other classroom sessions
We provide a wide variety of advanced pilot training courses – whether you need a full ATPL theoretical course or an A-UPRT course before your first multi-crew type rating, we’ve got you covered. For the theoretical parts of MEP and A-UPRT courses and other shorter classroom sessions, please scroll down to see when the next session will be arranged.
Follow us on Facebook or subscribe to our newsletter to ensure you will not miss the course you have been waiting for!
Below you will find the Ground School schedules so that you can plan the mandatory attendance (whether physically on site or virtually via telepresence) well ahead in your calendar.
Note that there are different requirements for ATPL, CPL, and IR courses. Please check which subjects you need to study, and hence attend, on your particular theory course.
ATPL = Mandatory on the ATPL theory course
CPL = Mandatory on the CPL theory course
IR = Mandatory on the IR theory course
(Even if you only enrol on the IR theory course, you’re still welcome to listen in also during the subjects that are not mandatory for IR, should you so wish.)
See past ground school schedules for detailed examples. Normally the exact daily schedules will be fixed 2-3 weeks prior to the ground school.
The purpose of the Ground School is to consolidate your learning and knowledge. The majority of learning you will gain by studying the materials at home.
Telepresence is arranged over Microsoft Teams (or similar). Note that two-way interaction is expected: you need to be mentally present and focus on the tuition; these are not webinars.
You are free to attend the Ground Schools (GS’s) in any order you wish. “GS #1”, “GS #2” and “GS #3” are only labels for the logistical groupings of subjects into roughly 1-week stretches when the classroom action takes place. (In fact, in the end the only thing that counts is that you attend the GS tuition of each subject at least once, but we do strongly recommend preparing for all subjects in a particular ground school.)
To gain an attendance mark for the GS in a particular subject, we require certain “Progress Test(s)” for that subject to be done (at home) before the GS in order for you to show don’t come in unprepared. The level of tuition given in the GS’s assumes respective prior home study. (Nevertheless, we do offer the possibility to listen in on a GS, even if you ‘missed your opportunity’ and hadn’t done all of your homework — maybe it helps you prepare for the next time, knowing what lies ahead.) It is only after the GS, perhaps after further home-study, that you’re expected to pass the final exam for that particular subject. All this will further be clarified in an orientation session with our Theory Coordinator when you start on the course.

IFR Refresher/”Practical IR” Classroom Sessions
Contact us if you are interested in a classroom session covering practical IFR operations under Part-NCO, i.e. such practical knowledge of flying IFR yourself that is not covered by the IR Theory Course. (For our Practical IR course customers such sessions would be free of charge if/when arranged; for others an attendance fee applies.)
MEP Theory
The next MEP (land) theoretical course will be published soon – stay tuned!
